Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week...of course with my constant browsing of craft sites I found this idea.
It was so easy and Tage loved the idea of giving his teacher a gift.
Go here to check it out.

Seriously easy...I think it took me maybe like 30 minutes to make all 4

Smile

GG and Grandpa D were watching Boston today and snapped this pic. I love it cuz he is smiling.
He is just about 12 weeks old. He is getting big and growing, mostly in length, he is one tall baby.
Just a pic update :)

The Laundry Schedule

This is my Laundry schedule...I've been trying to get a bit more organized this year and the idea for this popped into my head. I only did Monday thru Friday so I could have the weekend to play. I love knowing exactly what needs to be done each day. The categories such as Darks or kids are on magnets so its totally flexible, which I love!!

I actually made this a while ago and have debated on whether to put myself out there for a linky party... well, I am!! My first ever and I am, needless to say, a bit nervous. Hopefully this will be the first of many.

I started with piece of wood just over 24 inches long, it was already routered so that was easy.
I painted it all brown, just brown, because I don't remember the actual name. Of course I sanded the edges down, who doesn't do that?

Next I got some craft wood (i think thats the name) I just got a package at the WalMart and then cut them down to the size of pieces I wanted.
Sanded and rounded the edges.

Bring on the Modge Podge.... I didn't want paper that had a busy print that way you could see the letters.

Another purchase at Walmart were these round magnets, I liked them because they had self adhesive that way I didn't have to bother with gluing them down. I put magnets on the pieces of wood and the big board.

I just cut out the letters with plain old cardstock with my cricut.
I didn't have any vinyl and it was late. I don't think they look too bad.

I only did two for each day but it can be created however fits you.

Added ribbon for cuteness.

And the final look....
Its hanging in my laundry room as I type :)

Kids...

This past weekend we visited my Aunt Sheila (who lives in Henderson NV, next to Vegas) and was able to attend the wedding of her son, Nick...
I will tell you, it was so nice to be in some warm weather. The kids got to wear shorts and go without jackets, they enjoyed it. Then we came back to oh so cold Utah, seriously now? Where is the warm spring weather?

Anyway, before the wedding I decided that I wanted some pictures of the kids..ALL three of them. It would have been the best day ever if it weren't for the darn wind!! I even made Boston sit in the wind for a few shots (it really was only a minute)

I think they turned out pretty cute, but then again as always I am biased :)

This is Tage and Savanna with their cousins Bridger (L) and Cason (R)
They have so much fun together, I couldn't not get a picture of them all looking soooo adorable.
