Tomorrow......the BIG B-Day!!!

So, today was the doctors appointment...basically the defining appointment. As the previous post said, I have been on medicine to slow things down while the baby continues to grow and mature.
Sunday night was my last dose and since then we have been waiting things out. I wasn't too sure I would make it to today to see the doc, but I did (barely.)

Last night I did have some pretty strong contractions and thought that it could be happening right then or tomorrow, which is today. I woke up at 4am having regular contractions for an hour then they went away.
I wake up at 7 this morning..getting ready for the day, having regular contractions about 4 to 9 minutes apart. Pretty exciting actually.
All in all...with the contracting regular I have actually dilated some, who knew?!
With all that the doctor suggested, and we agreed that we should get the baby here. He seems to want to come anyway, why keep it from happening.

So, tomorrow is the BIG day!! I don't we were shocked, it was bound to happen. I am pretty sure we are ready. Bart got the car seat in today, which I think was pretty much the last thing to do for the baby.
Savanna is way excited and says the she will kiss baby Boston on the cheek.
As of right now Tage isn't home from school, but I am sure his reaction will be like all the other reactions he has had about the baby.....just there, not really excited and kind of doesn't want anything to do with the baby right now. Hopefully tomorrow he will be ECSTATIC!!!!

I might not post anything for a bit, but I know everyone will be wanting to see pictures, so I will as soon as I can.

Thanks everyone for being with us on this pregnancy journey with us..its been a long journey and we are excited for what we have in store with this new little addition.

Day 10

Today is Day 10 of the limited activity...or as the Dr. called it the other day, be like the "Queen of the Nile"...I liked the idea of that.

As you all know from my last post I have been doing a lot of surfing the internet for craft sites, DIY home decor, fun treat ideas...really you name it, you could probably find it. I have added all the fun sites here. There are soooooo many things I want to do and make when I have the time, which I know will not be for a while, you better bet that I have a list of crafts I want to do so I don't forget.

I have actually been inspired to do a lot of things looking around at all the ladies that are "crafty"
Hopefully I can measure up to them once I get going.

Now for an update on the pregnancy..........
Today I am 37 wks and a few days...
If you look back at other pictures I believe you can tell that the baby has dropped and at moments when I am standing for a while I can sure feel the gravity of it all.
I did make it back to the Dr. and he was glad I made it that far along and wants me to go for as long as I can, so, he put me back on medicine until about Sunday, I have another appt with him next Wednesday. After Sunday, what ever happens happens. We are shooting to get as close to February 1st as we can. In saying all that, I was told to keep up with the "limited activity" hence the Queen of the Nile remark at the beginning :)

Things are really ticking down and it feels that way. Every day I just hope we are ready and haven't forgotten anything, I really don't think we have, but you never know.

"Limited Activity" Day 5!!

I should probably insert my foot in my mouth about having contractions....
I know in every post I have done about being pregnant and the doctor explaining about going into labor and feeling contractions that it has been a crazy concept....weeeeellllll I have been feeling contractions. I went in for a check up on the 6th of January (this was a Wednesday) and things were going very well. Friday evening we spent it at my parents house eating and playing games, as I was standing there talking with my mom, I felt my stomach get tight and had my mom feel and she's all, "Ivy, you're having a contraction."
I had no idea that that is what a contraction was, because I have never felt anything like a contraction before and this is my third pregnancy. So, Saturday came and I was still feeling this tightening of my tummy, then Sunday and still feeling the same, then Monday and the same with some of them being regular and some feeling a bit more stronger or more tighter than some. Tuesday came and it was the same thing, feeling all this tightening from the moment I woke up. Long story short I ended up at the hospital to monitor everything and sure enough I was contracting, WHO KNEW!!!! After a very long 7 hours at the hospital they finally got the contractions to quiet down enough they weren't concerned and I was sent home. Mind you I was only 36 wks and they would like to see me at least make it to 37 wks. Met with the doctor Wednesday morning and I was feeling some contractions..good thing about all this is that I wasn't dilating, just contracting. So, I've been put on some medicine and been told to limit my activity, which basically means don't do a whole lot and after these 5 days I know why.
It has been the hardest 5 days EVER!! I have been so bored and all I do is think about everything I COULD be doing...
BUT I have obeyed the doctors orders and my parents have been awesome with helping with the kids and members of church have been great to help with dinners, it really takes a load off the mind when others help.
Bart has been really good to help too, doing laundry and the dishes and just keeping things up.

Now about being bored..it really is one of the worst things to be. One can only do so much sitting and so much thinking and so much crocheting...
So, I became a Farmer on Facebook, which I do a lot of.
Then I have been doing a lot of browsing around on the internet finding sites with craft ideas and organization ideas...really any sort of idea you could find out there.....I found a bunch!!! I've decided to list them along with other sites I like here on my blog, they should be on the left side. Then any others I find I will add...and I'm sure if there is anything else I find to add I will, Thats how bored I am :)

More to follow about the pregnancy, but for at least another 3 days I am going to be sitting here like a bump on a log :)

Can you tell there's a baby in there..??

This is the "baby bump" as we have all called it....
35 wks and STILL counting.
I must say the Anticipation is growing and even though I know we have everything for the baby to come I can't help but think that I am forgetting something.
I Just had a Drs appt and things are still looking good and still on track for the Baby to come on Feb. 1st..unless by some miracle I start contracting. I believe the doctor finally got the point that I have never really been in labor and have never felt contractions. I think he was shocked, but concerned at the same time. Only time will tell.
I am measuring 39 cm with 4 wks still to go...I am sure this is the biggest I have ever gotten with the 3 pregnancies and I sure am feeling it.

This picture was just taken tonight by Bart..Both kids aren't feeling the greatest and so they wanted mommy to cuddle a little bit.. As you can tell the "baby bump" doesn't seem to get in the way and the kids have learned not lay right on top of the belly.
I did have all 3 kids around me at the same time though.. in a round about way.

Christmas and New Years

Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Carrolls..
I may have said this once before with the Christmas of 2008, but Grandma Carroll makes PJ pants for all the grandkids every christmas. The kids are always excited to get them and put them on. This year they are a frog pattern and very cute.
The whole Carroll gang....meaning Aunts Uncles, and Cousins come and exchange gifts, visit, play games. It really is fun and I know Tage and Savanna have so much fun with their cousins.
It is also nice to be with every one and talk about what has been going on, a real good catch up session sometimes.

Tage absolutely LOVES transformes...can you tell??
(Christmas Morning)
Santa knew this and got him the Bumblebee toys. He was super excited and couldn't hardly wait to get to put on his new toys.

Here is Miss Banna (Christmas Morning) in all here Princess glory...it really is a Fairy Dress up outfit but she says its Princess dress up. She is the Princess and she knows it!! We love her and her Sparkling personality, what would we do without her...???
Life would certainly be dull if she wasn't around.

On New Years we were invited to go to Centerville to Ann's house (barts oldest sister)
We went and stayed up waaay to late, and got up too early. We had fun though.
On Friday the 1st Ann took us to the Davis County Rec Center for some swimming fun.
They have the coolest playground for young kids to play on.
It took the kids a bit to warm up to the idea of swimming but eventually they came around and had a blast!!
Bart was awesome and went in with them, I'm sure nobody would have wanted to see me in a swimsuit :)
The kids had fun with Daddy, as you can tell.

Savanna jumping off the side into Barts arms.
You wouldn't catch Tage doing this at all!!
Banna is fearless!!

Tage being content to play on the playground :)

The Holidays were soo busy and went by very fast, but we did have tons of fun!!
Thanks to all the family that made it fun.
